What are Circles?

What are Circles?

The bottleneck to your company’s growth is you. Let’s change that, together.

Circles is where growth-stage founders get the support system to grow into the leader their company needs — from people who've done it, and peers doing it alongside them.

World-class guidance

Coaching on your hardest problems — scaling, hiring, firing, board management, culture — from one of the most sought-after coaches for post-Series B founders. Circles gives you access at 11% of his normal rate.

Your confidential war room

A dedicated, consistent space to get out of the trenches and work on your company (and yourself) within a wise circle of trust — in person, off the record, with no VCs in the room.

A vetted peer group

A small, carefully curated group of 6-7 founders navigating the same challenges you are. Monthly sessions over the course of a year create a high-trust council where people know your context, your trajectory, and can hold space for the real stuff.

01

Circle Curation

Each member is individually vetted — we select for stage, character, and what you'll bring to a room of peers.
02

Kickoff Retreat

Your Circle begins with a multi-day in-person retreat — time to meet your group, share historical context on your company, and set foundations for the growth ahead.
03

Monthly Circles

Ten in-person 4-hour sessions over the course of the year. These sessions give you the opportunity to receive direct support, as well as a fly-on-the-wall vantage point to the guidance offered to your peers.

Circles will be hosted in the Mission District of San Francisco.
You’ll have the option of continuing the discussion or decompressing over lunch following the morning session.

Our Coach

Dan Levin

Dan Levin is an executive coach who typically works with 3-5 Series B+ CEOs at a time, commanding one of the highest rates in the industry.

He's been a founder himself, an Operating Partner at Khosla Ventures, and as President and COO of Box, scaled the company through hypergrowth and continues to serve on its board.

Dan's approach is hands-on and practical. He works directly on the challenges you're facing, drawing from his experience building and scaling companies. Through Circles, you'll get access to the same coaching he provides to a small group of high-growth CEOs.

FAQ

FAQ

How is this different from YPO, Hampton, or other peer groups?

Most peer groups are organized around networking and general discussion. Circles is built around active coaching. Half of every session is Dan Levin working directly on member challenges — not a speaker, not a panel, not a facilitated share. The group is also smaller and more deliberately curated than most programs, and the year-long commitment creates a depth of context that drop-in formats can't replicate.

What does a typical monthly session look like?

Each monthly session runs four hours, in person. Two hours are dedicated to live coaching with Dan — members bring real problems and work through them in real time. The remaining two hours are designed and facilitated to catalyze results between peer participants. Sessions end with an optional group lunch.

How are members selected?

Each applicant goes through an interview with Satya. We're looking for founding CEOs at the post-Series B stage who are serious about their own growth and who will contribute meaningfully to the group. We also consider fit across the circles — who you'll be in a room with matters as much as whether you qualify.

What's the time commitment?

Ten monthly half-days (9am–1pm) over the course of the year, plus a multi-day kickoff retreat. We ask that you treat attendance as a firm commitment — the group only works if everyone shows up.

What happens after the year is up?

That's still being determined — but the intention is to give members a path to continue. Many of the most valuable relationships will keep compounding well past the formal program.
